A 61-year-old French man was arrested at Philadelphia International Airport and charged with impersonating a pilot after airline officials found him in the cockpit of a plane scheduled for takeoff, police said Friday. The crew of a US Airways flight bound for West Palm Beach, Fla., found Philippe Jernnard of La Rochelle, France, in the jump seat behind the pilot on Wednesday evening, removing him after he was unable to produce valid credentials and became argumentative, police said.

DAVOS, Switzerland — Bombardier president and CEO Pierre Beaudoin hopes that its CSeries airliners will take its first flight in June, demonstrating that the Quebec transportation giant has learned the lessons from Boeing’s difficulties with its 787 Dreamliner. In an interview with The Canadian Press in Davos, where he is participating in the World Economic Forum, Beaudoin said that assembly of the first CSeries test plane was “very advanced.” The wings have been attached to the commercial aircraft’s fuselage and machinists are ready to install the landing gear.
