      Turbulence in the global economy -- including eurozone woes and a steep rise in the value of the yen -- has largely spared the car industry, Renault-Nissan chief Carlos Ghosn told AFP Wednesday. "For the moment, we have not felt a significant impact of the financial crisis," said Ghosn, who directs the French-Japanese alliance Renault-Nissan which is aiming to expand in the lucrative Brazilian car market."I'm not saying that there won't be any impact, but I'm saying that there is not a clearly discernible impact on orders," he said.

      Renault-Nissan is aiming for more than a 10 percent share of the US auto market, the alliance's boss Carlos Ghosn told AFP on the heels of encouraging sales figures."We want to reach 10 percent then we will set a goal" for a bigger market share, "but first we need to reach (10%) for more than one consecutive month," said Carlos Ghosn, Renault-Nissan Alliance's chief executive.He spoke with AFP before the rollout at the 2012 New York International Auto Show of what Nissan is advertising as New York's taxi of the future.

      Renault-Nissan Alliance will invest $160 million to roll out Nissan models at its South Korean unit, the French automaking group said Friday.Renault-Samsung Motors in the southern port of Busan will produce an annual 80,000 units of Nissan's crossover Rogue, beginning in 2014, Renault-Nissan said in a statement."Adding production in Korea shows a commitment across the alliance to helping Renault Samsung Motors achieve its targets for cost competitiveness and growth," said Renault-Nissan Alliance chairman and CEO Carlos Ghosn.
