I don't know about you, but fuel, food, tuition, and pretty much everything else has been rising in price considerably higher than that and as a result we're losing our real purchasing power (if my dollar buys 5% less and I only earned 2% on the money, that means I essentially lost a full 3% of my wealth and hence the saying "cash is trash"). By Dividend Kings:Not unlike electric and water utility companies, telecommunication companies, particularly those with large wireline businesses, tend to offer above average dividends. By Saibus Research:Even though CenturyLink (CTL) has always had the lowest dividend yield of the rural telecom trifecta (CenturyLink, Frontier (FTR) and Windstream (WIN), we believe it is the best-in-breed in the rural telecom space.

    • Windstream: Do Not Overpay For The Dividend

By Stock Gamer:The share price of Windstream (WIN) has declined by 24% over the past 12 months and is currently trading near its 52-week low of $7.86. Despite the lofty 11.7% dividend yield, the investment is not worth a spot in your dividend portfolio as the shares are overpriced. There are 5 reasons backing my bearish view:
