    US consumer spending, income remain sluggish

    US consumer spending and income remain sluggish, fresh government data showed Monday amid a fragile economic recovery and unemployment concerns.Consumer spending rose 0.3 percent in February from 0.4 percent the previous month while personal income was flat in February following an upwardly revised 0.3 percent growth in January, the Commerce Department said.The latest figure showed the slowest growth in income growth since July and in spending since September.
