Mayor-elect John Tory will be asking for a briefing on the extent of sexual harassment complaints in the city government, as the scandal surrounding Jian Ghomeshi continues to reverberate.
“I think it really just reminds us all of the fact that we still have a lot of work to do on making sure that every person — in this case, particularly women — but every person can go to a workplace and be free of harassment,” Mr. Tory told reporters at city hall on Wednesday.
OTTAWA — A Senate-appointed investigator has reportedly cleared Senator Colin Kenny of allegations of sexually harassing a woman who worked for him and abusing his authority.
While the investigator’s report has not been made public, the CBC reported the independent investigator has found that on each accusation of wrongdoing “harassment has not occurred.”
