UAE to suspend some Blackberry services

 

The United Arab Emirates has decided to suspend some Blackberry services from October 11 until a solution compatible with local laws is reached, the state news agency on Sunday quoted an official as saying."In the public interest, we have today informed the providers of telecommunications services in the country of our decision to suspend the Blackberry services of messenger, email and electronic browsing," Telecommunications Regulatory Authority chief Mohammed al-Ghanem said, WAM reported.
