However, one might immediately point out that I am recommending selling gold at the same time. By Faisal Humayun: In my recent articles, I have discussed my bearish outlook for risky asset classes for the remainder of 2013. I continue to believe the same amidst the risk evident in global economic growth. At the same time, any correction in commodities and equities will present a good long-term investment opportunity. This article discusses the near-term outlook for crude and the reasons to consider exposure to exploration stocks when crude and equities decline.

    • How Not to Trade the Dollar

I hope this essay provides some food for thought. It is not my intention to insult or belittle anyone, but using humor and cold logic, to help people understand an abstract topic with many counterintuitive principles. The ultimate goal is to protect what you have and make some more (in that order). Gold is money. We have published a video to make the point that one should use gold to measure the economic value (i.e. price) of everything else including the dollar.

    • Gold May Rally In Short Term, But Precious Metals' Future Looks Ugly

By Ananthan Thangavel:The precious metals complex is getting interesting once again, with gold (GLD) and silver (SLV) falling 3.4% and 5% last week, respectively. While we continue to be bearish over the medium and long term (anywhere from six months to a few years), the gold market may be oversold in the near-term.

    • Gold Will Trend Higher In 2013

By Faisal Humayun: With the Senate approving the fiscal cliff deal, the US seems to have averted another crisis. In response to this news, US equities surged with some upside movement observed in gold as well. • Prefer U.S. Equities Over Chinese Equities In Near-Term

By Faisal Humayun: There is a general consensus that emerging market equities and economy will do well in the long-term, as compared to developed markets. I also believe the same when it comes to talking about the long-term outlook for the economies.

    • Commodities: Bull Run in Early Stages; Short-Term Correction Ahead

Faisal Humayun submits: This article looks into the factors impacting the short to medium term trend for commodities. Over the long-term, there is no doubt in my mind that every portfolio should have commodities and commodity related stocks for long-term. With the demand for commodities driven by 2.5 billion Chinese and Indians, the current bull run for commodities is still at a relatively early stage.
