    RIM's BlackBerry 7: Bump In Market Share Will Be Short Lived

    By Nick Pollari:It is no secret that Research In Motion (RIMM) has been losing market share to its competitors in the mobile phone segment. Google’s (GOOG) introduction of the Android operating system has spread globally at a rapid pace and Apple (AAPL) has had great success with the Iphone product line. I follow ComScore’s Mobile Subscriber Market Share survey to keep tabs on which firms are dominating in the high margin mobile phone segment.ComScore surveys can be found here and they provide valuable information for investors on market segment leaders. Please keep in mind that this survey applies only to individuals ages 13 and up. Although I must admit I find it hard to believe many young people are using phones at the ages of 12 and below but I could be wrong, I don’t have kids.
