By Regarded Solutions:What better way to celebrate the birth of my first grandchild (Luke Conner) than to go on the shopping spree that we have been anticipating for awhile. We have had some false starts with our bull market correction but I think it is safe to say we are right in the thick of things now. Prior to this period we had limited, if any, opportunities to deploy our cash reserves because the market just snapped right back. Our "Team Alpha" portfolio consists of ExxonMobil (XOM), Johnson & Johnson (JNJ), AT&T (T), General Electric (GE), Annaly Capital (NLY), Southern Company (SO), Procter & Gamble (PG), Philip Morris (PM), Intel (INTC), Realty Income (O), Chevron (CVX), E.I. du Pont (DD), Duke Energy (DUK), Coca-Cola (KO), Bank of America (BAC), and McDonald's (MCD).

    • Retirement Strategy: A Portfolio Update On Time And On Fire (Part 28)

By Regarded Solutions:I love months like the one we just had, don't you? Actually I love day's like Friday even more. The "Team Alpha" portfolio surged 6% in the month of June and while we remained in our holding pattern, we are still in great shape to add another stock to our core portfolio, and we can take some risk for the next few months as well.

    • Retirement Strategy: A Portfolio Update A Bit Late But Still Doing Great (Part 26)

By Regarded Solutions:With so much news that has come out our "Team Alpha" portfolio update is a bit late this month but still is showing good results vs the recent declines in the overall markets.

    • Retirement Strategy: Portfolio Update - Time To Take Profits In An Overbought Market (Part 29)

By Regarded Solutions:Our "Team Alpha" portfolio has had an awesome run thus far. Any of our readers who have followed this step by step portfolio, and strategy, would be well ahead of any of the market indexes and in very good shape for the balance of the year. That being said, I feel that Friday was a great day to take profits, rebalance and set some strategic goals for what I consider a market that has gotten ahead of itself.

    • Retirement Strategy: Adding McDonald's Back Into Our Core Portfolio (Part 23)

By Regarded Solutions:"Team Alpha" sold McDonald's (MCD) at nearly its all time high when we took profits (review the action here). It is time to add McDonald's back into our core portfolio as of today.

    • Retirement Strategy: 'Team Alpha' Beats The S&P By 30% (Part 20)

By Regarded Solutions:It truly is hard to believe that one third of the year has flown by already. Now that we have 4 months "in the bank", so to speak, let's catch up to how our "Team Alpha" core portfolio is doing.

    • Retirement Strategy: Get Ready For Action (Part 22)

By Regarded Solutions:At the time I write this article, France has elected a Socialist and all the indexes are showing a sharply lower open for our markets come Monday morning. I believe this could be the capitulation that we have been waiting for to deploy our cash reserves.

    • Retirement Strategy: Add Value And Dividend Stocks (Part 15)

By Regarded Solutions:Here we are, sitting around waiting for the pullback or correction that never comes, the market has not even flat-lined, and we have now taken chips off the table (read this), implemented a "flat market strategy" (review that here), and have even taken some conservati

    • Retirement Strategy: "Team Alpha" Crushed The S&P (Part 17)

By Regarded Solutions:When we began our journey back in late October 2011, the S&P was roughly 1225. As of Friday's close it stood at 1408. An approximate increase of 15% in a relative blink of an eye. A very impressive run thus far, even though we have been waiting for a pullback to pick up some bargains to add to our core portfolio.

    • Retirement Strategy: Save Money Do It Yourself (Part 16)

By Regarded Solutions:As most of my readers know, I am an ardent believer in a dividend growth stock portfolio for a secure retirement. We have a "Team Alpha" core portfolio that we have been following since I began writing this series, and we "home gaming" non professionals have been doing a pretty decent job thus far.

    • Retirement Strategy: Actions To Take During A Flat Market (Part 14)

By Regarded Solutions:We are in a "holding pattern" with our "Core Retirement Portfolio" since making a few key changes. We sold several positions, we took profits by selling a portion of other positions, and we replaced several positions with better ones.
