TOMS RIVER, N.J. — A 4-year-old accidentally shot a 6-year-old neighbour in the head outside his home, The Star-Ledger reports. He brought a gun outside his home shot and seriously wounded the 6-year-old when the weapon somehow discharged as they played together, authorities said Tuesday.

SAVANNAH — The mother and aunt of a U.S. teen suspected of fatally shooting a baby in the face after his mother refused to hand over money were arrested on charges that they lied to authorities, police said Tuesday. The baby’s mother, Sherry West, has said she and her baby were walking home Thursday when they were approached by two youths asking for money. She said she told them she had none, and one teen drew a handgun and asked: “Do you want me to shoot your baby?”

It sailed through the window of a modest Brampton home, where nine-year-old Kesean Williams and his brother were watching TV in the relative warmth and light. The bullet struck Kesean — a little boy with a big smile who loved dancing, basketball and cracking jokes. Within hours, he was dead. As friends, family and neighbours reeled from the news Thursday, police denounced the “unfathomable” tragedy and appealed to the public for help in finding his killer.

BRUNSWICK, Ga. – Police in Georgia say an anonymous tip helped them make arrests in the shooting death of baby who was killed in a stroller. The Brunswick Police Department said Sunday that they got a tip that someone was crouched in the back seat of a vehicle as it drove away from the shooting on Thursday. The Glynn County detective’s division spent hours following up on the tip and eventually arrested a 14-year-old suspect. The boy’s statements led them to take 17-year-old De’Marquise Elkins into custody.
