My colleague Mark Hughes recently wrote that Prometheus, the upcoming film directed by Ridley Scott, is one of the must-see movies of the year. But after seeing the most recent trailer, I think Prometheus is the must-see movie of the year???so much so that I'm going to have to avoid crossing major intersections, showering, playing with firearms, and huffing carbon monoxide until its June 8 release date.

Prometheus is Ridley Scott's upcoming movie, a prequel to the famed Alien series. If it's anything like Scott's original Alien movie, it's going to contain horror, suspense, and a a few visceral dismemberments. Fans know this already. 20th Century Fox, however, wants to reach the few of you who haven't heard of Alien--or were soured by the post-Cameron sequels--with an electrifying trailer or two. Or in this case, a trailer to a trailer.

If you've seen TED presentations, you'd know that they're lectures and demonstrations from leaders in technology, entertainment, and design. But you've never seen a TED presentation like this one: it's set in the year 2032, and it's presented by Peter Weyland, of Weyland-Yutani, the infamous "company" that was behind the action in the Alien franchise, as well as the upcoming movie Prometheus.
