    |Peter Boettke|
June 1, 2012 was the official publication date for Living Economics: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow.  To coincide with this official date, the Independent Institute has also published a detailed summary of the book.  And I also published an essay on the book in The Freeman.
The book is also available through LFB, and Amazon.
As has been announced at the Independent site, an e-book will be available shortly.  And, a Spanish translation is in the works as is a Romanian translation.

    • Question About the Economics of E-Books

      |Peter Boettke| First, an admission ... I am a late experimenter with e-books and not all that satisfied with the experience as a reader in that format, though I appreciate the ability to carry an entire library without a trunk. Second, I have both an I-pad and a Kindle reader, prefer the Kindle for reading books, but the I-pad for reading pdf files.  Personally, I would always choose an e-book to read on my Kindle rather than as an iBook.

    • Center for History of Political Economy -- Summer Institute 2011

      |Peter Boettke| As I mentioned before, the Institute for New Thinking in Economics has awarded a significant grant to the Center for History of Political Economy at Duke.  This is a very significant and positive development as far as I am concerned.  And one of the main areas of investment for CHOPE is summer programs to help PhD students develop an appreciation in the subfield, and for advanced students and junior faculty to improve their understanding on how to teach the subject.
