Candice Kumai is a chef, wellness journalist and the author of "Clean Green Eats: 100+ Clean-Eating Recipes to Improve Your Whole Life." INSIDER stopped by her New York City kitchen to watch her prepare a kale Caesar salad — a healthy alternative to traditional, high-calorie Caesar salads.
Kumai shared her recipe for the low-calorie salad:

But this seemingly healthier alternative is actually worse for you than a double Big Mac, CBC reports.
Chili's "Quesadilla Explosion" salad is worse for you than a Big Mac with fries and a Coca-Cola. The salad contains 1,430 calories, according to nutritional data from the company. By comparison, a Big Mac meal with medium fries and a Coke contains 1,120 calories.
Cane Rosso, a Texas pizza parlor, has a pretty standard menu — a pizza pie will run you about 15 bucks, a sandwich around $10. But if you're looking for a side of ranch dressing to go with your personal pie, you better start saving your pennies; it'll set you back $1000. (via Eater.)
