By Shareholders Unite:We are bearish on the markets as growth is slowing and the euro-crisis looks like it could escalate out of control. So we look for markets that are still booming and stocks that can profit from that. One of the booming markets in the world right now is that of liquid natural gas (LNG), especially in Asia. A stock to profit from that is InterOil (IOC).The authorative International Energy Agency (IAE) even speaks of a 'golden age' for natural gas. Asian economies are booming and many of the big cities are chocking in pollution. Stemming the rise of CO2 emissions increasingly plays a role in the rising demand as well. Many of the big economies have to import most of their energy. Natural gas provides an answer to these problems, it's much cleaner than coal and much cheaper than oil. It's no surprise that demand for it is booming:Complete Story »

    • Why You Should Buy InterOil

By Shareholders Unite:In the present rough market climate, InterOil (IOC) should offer a nice upside (or better) for those that want to hide from the market mayhem elsewhere. While hardly immune to volatility itself, things are finally coming together for the company.

By Shareholders Unite:The future seems to be in natural gas, not oil. Here is the ExxonMobil (XOM) Outlook for Energy, a view to 2040. Not too many surprises, it's broadly in line with similar publications from the International Energy Agency (IEA).

    • InterOil: Ready To Move Sharply Higher

By Treasure Hunter:InterOil (IOC) is rapidly nearing catalysts which will cause its stock price move sharply higher in the coming weeks. InterOil's fair value is literally multiples higher than its current $66/share. Getting fully up-to-speed on the InterOil story will require some time investment, but if the catalysts unfold as expected over the next few weeks, we believe the stock will move up sharply and trade closer to its current net asset value of over $400/share.

    • Clean energy progress has stalled: IEA

The development of low-carbon energy is progressing too slowly to limit global warming, the International Energy Agency (IEA) said on Wednesday. With power generation still dominated by coal and governments failing to increase investment in clean energy, top climate scientists have said that the target of keeping the global temperature rise to less than 2 degrees Celsius this century is slipping out of reach.

    • Asian push for lower prices may hurt Canadian LNG projects

Canadian projects will be under more pressure than most to link to Henry Hub, given the current linkage with the U.S. market Alarmed by the 13.4% jump in its natural gas import bill last year, Japan is planning a new energy strategy that could change how natural gas is traded around the world and put pressure on some of the proposed Canadian liquefied natural gas projects.

    • The Canadian Players In The Booming LNG Sector

Canadian natural gas producers are hoping to spend a minimum $20 billion on shipping Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) to Asia in the next 2-9 years. The size of the prize is huge-spot natural gas in Japan can be as high as $17/mcf-more than 10x Canada's spot price of $1.50 now.

    • Investing In The LNG Market

By Bruce Vanderveen:It was a classic miscue. Until just a few years ago almost everyone predicted a shortage of natural gas in the U.S. and Canada. In a rush to meet anticipated demand, companies such as Cheniere Energy (LNG) completed several LNG receiving facilities along the Gulf and East Coasts of the U.S. However, plunging prices from abundant shale gas turned the facilities into white elephants almost overnight.
