Honda recalls about 50,000 Civic cars in U.S.

(Reuters) - Honda Motor Co Ltd said on Wednesday it will recall about 50,000 Civic small cars in the United States from the 2012 model year for a potential driveshaft assembly issue that could lead to loss of engine power.

DETROIT — Honda is recalling more than 870,000 minivans and SUVs worldwide, including more than 52,000 in Canada, because they can roll away even though drivers have removed the keys from the ignition. The recall announced Wednesday affects older-model vehicles sold mainly in the United States but also includes a total of 52,441 in Canada. They were big sellers with families because of their ample space and reputation for quality.

(Reuters) - Honda Motor Co Ltd is recalling about 554,000 sport utility vehicles in the United States to inspect for faulty wiring in headlights. Honda said in a statement that the recall affects CR-V SUVs from model years 2002 to 2004 and Pilot SUVs from model year 2003. The Japanese automaker will inspect and replace parts of the headlight wiring system that could fail, causing the low-beam headlights not to work and increase the risk of crash.
