NEW YORK (Reuters) - Aon Corp , the largest global insurance brokerage by assets, said on Friday that net income fell sharply in the fourth quarter, hurt by higher restructuring charges, the cost of a recent acquisition, and a loss on a business sold last year.
Nike says its fourth-quarter net income fell 8 percent as restructuring charges and higher raw material costs offset price increases that helped boost its revenue.
Merck & Co.'s second-quarter net income fell 11.4 percent as slightly higher sales were offset by acquisition and restructuring costs. However, the drugmaker beat Wall Street expectations, and Merck shares jumped in early trading....
