    Four Undervalued Chinese Pharmas

    Sun, 04/11/2010 - 03:23 EDT - Seeking Alpha
    • China OTC Player
    • JGBO.OB
    • LTUS.OB
    • SNBP.OB
    • TPI

China OTC Player submits:By Platinum TigerWhile many U.S.-listed Chinese small caps have flourished so far this year with an average first quarter gain of 19 percent, one sector, pharmaceuticals, has been relentlessly punished by investors. The eight pharmaceutical stocks listed in our RCS index have lost on average 25 percent of their value since they peaked on January 15. Only one of the eight - nutraceutical producer Nutrastar (NUIN.OB) - is in positive territory for the year. Several, like Lotus (LTUS.OB), Sinobiopharma (SNBP.OB) and Tianyin (TPI) are down by more than 20 percent, and one, Jiangbo (JGBO.OB), has shed nearly half its value in the past three months. I believe several of these stocks are now deeply oversold and merit serious investment consideration.Complete Story »

    • Best Bargain Stock in America? It Could Be Jiangbo

China OTC Player submits:Whoever said that life is full of mysteries could have been pondering the story of Jiangbo Pharmaceuticals (JGBO). I’ve been scratching my head over this company for more than a year now, mystified as to why investors aren’t valuing it at a price at least 4-5 times its current valuation. This may well be the best bargain on all of the U.S. stock exchanges.

    • Chinese Stocks in 2010: Looking for Treasures

China OTC Player submits:As you can see from visiting my site, it is no longer called "China OTC Player" but "China OTC and Opportunity Player". This is to allow me to focus on some of the lesser known but emerging stocks on the major exchanges. I believe some of these counters present really interesting investment opportunities, and I will be sharing my thoughts on them in the near future.

    • Chinese Small Caps Are Not Overbought

    • Jiangbo Pharma Appears Significantly Undervalued

    • Real Estate Stocks Sink Chinese Small Caps for Second Straight Week

China OTC Player submits:By Platinum TigerA 10 percent plunge in real estate stocks cooled off the Rising China Stocks (RCS) index for a second consecutive week, wiping out nearly a third of the gains the small cap index had made this year and putting it well off the pace of the red hot Russell 2000 small cap index, which is now up by nearly 20 percent this year.

    • Can Tianyin Pharmaceutical Heal Your Portfolio?

Douglas Estadt submits: Tianyin Pharmaceutical Co. (TPI) is a Chinese company offering traditional Chinese medicine as well as more modern and westernized types of medication. This gives the company an advantage, as it increases their potential customer base - as does their mix of prescription/over the counter offerings. TPI is positioned to grow, with 39 drugs in their portfolio and 17 more in the pipeline.

    • Three Undervalued Chinese Dividend Stocks

Double Dividend Stocks submits: We’re continuing our quest for international dividend stocks this week with 3 Chinese dividend paying stocks that all have low PEG/ high EPS growth forecasts, low debt, strong management metrics, and options trading available. All 3 of these stocks trade in the US.This group includes an oil & gas firm, an insurance company, and a drug manufacturer.

    • China Small Caps Continue Surge on Strength in Energy, Industrials

China OTC Player submits:By Platinum Tiger Chinese small caps surged by 2.5 percent on Friday to their best daily advance and their strongest week overall in almost two months. The small cap rally has now resulted in higher weekly closes for our China OTC Player index in four of the past five weeks, with especially encouraging breadth and volume this week. I am maintaining my buy recommendation for Chinese small caps.
