    European stocks slip ahead of US data

    Europe's main stock markets dipped on Tuesday as investors took profits from recent bumper gains and waited on the latest raft of economic data in the United States, dealers said.In late morning deals, London's FTSE 100 index of top shares dropped 0.08 percent to 5,868.75 points, Frankfurt's DAX 30 slid 0.02 percent to 7,055.80 points and in Paris the CAC 40 reversed 0.20 percent to 3,455.92.Madrid's Ibex 35 shed 0.79 percent to 7,980.90 points and Milan's FTSE Mib index lost 0.49 percent to 15,870.97.

      European stocks fell on Wednesday due to concerns over the growth outlook for China and the eurozone, and after official data showed the British economy shrank more than previously thought.London's FTSE 100 index of top shares slid 0.28 percent to 5,852.84 points in morning deals and Frankfurt's DAX 30 shed 0.40 percent to 7,050.87 points.In Paris, the CAC 40 fell 0.38 percent to 3,456.55 points and Madrid's Ibex 35 lost 0.31 percent to 8,114.6 points.

      European stocks fell on Thursday in cautious deals before this week's EU finance meeting which is expected to approve a boost in the firewall against future financial turmoil.In late morning trading, London's FTSE 100 index of top shares slid 0.69 percent to 5,768.40 points, Frankfurt's DAX 30 shed 0.78 percent to 6,944.74 points and in Paris the CAC 40 fell 0.49 percent to 3,410.46.

      Europe's main stock markets fell on Friday following overnight losses on Wall Street and ahead of key US jobs data.In midday deals, London's benchmark FTSE 100 index was down 0.67 percent at 5,277.32 points.Frankfurt's DAX 30 dropped 0.47 percent to 5,743.47 points and in Paris the CAC 40 shed 0.54 percent to 3,778.65 nearing the half-way stage.The DJ Euro Stoxx 50 index of top eurozone shares declined 0.59 percent to 2,859.24 points.
