That includes an US$11.9-million “special cash sign-on payment” for him to buy Barrick shares on the open market.

CENTENNIAL, Colo. — Relatives of the majority of people killed in a Colorado movie theatre rejected an invitation on Wednesday to attend its reopening later this month, calling it a “disgusting offer.” The parents, grandparents, cousins and widow of nine of the 12 people killed released a letter sent to the theater’s owner, Cinemark, in which they criticized the Plano, Texas-based company for not reaching out to the families of victims to offer their condolences. They also said the company refused to meet with them one-on-one without lawyers present.

Anti-capitalist protesters of the 'Occupy London' movement have vacated a building in the city's financial district less than a day after entering it, they said on Sunday.'Occupy London' activists entered the abandoned nine-storey Roman House building -- formerly used by finance companies -- in the Barbican arts and conference centre in the early hours of Saturday.But they left the premises later in the day after a request from contractors employed by the building's owners.
