  Everyone’s favorite billionaire investor, Warren Buffett, still seems to be a popular fellow, despite a few recent bumps in the road.

It's 2013, and that means that Warren Buffett is 5 years into a bet he made against two hedge fund managers at New York based fund Protege Partners. Back in 2008, Buffett told Ted Seides and Jeffrey Tarrant of Protege that funds that invest in hedge funds for their clients would not beat the S&P 500 over ten years. The loser of this bet has to donate $1 million to the winner's charity of choice on December 31st, 2017.

Yesterday, Warren Buffett appeared on CNBC's Squawk on the Street with Becky Quick.

In 2008, "Oracle of Omaha" Warren Buffett and some hedge fund guys made a wager that's been dubbed the "Million-Dollar Bet."  In sum, Buffett's wager against the hedge funders is that over a period of ten years hedge fund fund-of-funds could not beat the S&P index. 

An anonymous bidder won the Oracle of Omaha's lunch auction for charity on eBay for $3.5 million.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - A bidder is offering to pay $1,500,100 for a steak lunch with the billionaire investor Warren Buffett, driving the top bid more than $500,000 higher in seven minutes as the annual charity auction on eBay Inc's website heads into the homestretch.
