      RIO DE JANEIRO/NEW YORK (Reuters) - A Brazilian federal prosecutor filed criminal charges on Wednesday against Chevron and drill-rig operator Transocean for a November oil spill, raising the stakes in a legal saga that has added to Chevron's woes in Latin America and could slow Brazil's offshore oil boom.

      RIO DE JANEIRO (Reuters) - Brazil's largest oil workers federation filed a civil lawsuit against oil company Chevron and drilling firm Transocean in a federal court in Rio de Janeiro, according to documents filed with the court on Tuesday. The lawsuit seeks the cancellation of Chevron's concession to drill and produce oil in the offshore Frade field where it spilled at least 2,400 barrels of crude last November. The case, brought by FUP oil workers union, is the latest legal challenge in Brazil for Chevron and Transocean, which are also facing criminal charges over last year's spill. ...
