Boston Celtics take NBA series lead to 2-0

The NBA Playoffs finally start Saturday at 3 p.m. eastern. We couldn't be more excited. Here are our official predictions are the first round. We only picked one upset (because we're cowards), but we also only picked one sweep!

For the second-straight game, the Boston Celtics played an efficient, punishing first half of offense against the Knicks.

After a lackluster first week, the NBA playoffs really picked up in the last few days. Six of the eight first round match-ups went to six games, and teams like the Thunder and Knicks has tougher times than we thought they'd have. Our first round predictions were just okay: 6 out of 8 right (we missed on Chicago and Golden State), 3 out of 8 exactly right (SAS in 4, NY in 6, MEM in 6). 

Amar'e Stoudemire will reportedly come back for Game 3 of the Knicks-Pacers series. He could be an asset if the Knicks use him in a limited way. Specifically, he'd be fine if played ~10 minutes alongside another interior defender while Carmelo Anthony rested.

The Boston Celtics lost more than just an NBA game to the Detroit Pistons 104-92 as star forward Kevin Garnett left in the first quarter with a leg injury and did not return.The 13-time all-star Garnett injured his right leg when he jumped for a dunk then hung on the rim and dropped to fell to the floor. He limped off the court and went to the dressing room.Boston coach Doc Rivers said the injury isn't serious but couldn't say when Garnett would be able to play again. It was just the second loss for Boston in their last 17 games.

Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Garnett got into a verbal altercation during last night's Celtics win over the Knicks. At some point, 'Melo told Garnett he would see him after the game. And sure enough, he tried to make good on his promise.

Rasheed Wallace is likely done for the season with a broken foot, the Knicks announced today. The 38-year old played in just 20 games this year. In those games the Knicks were 16-4, and his sheer presence made New York one of the more enjoyable teams in the NBA.

Kevin Garnett scored 28 points and Rajon Rondo played the fourth quarter after suffering a dislocated left elbow as the Boston Celtics beat Miami 97-81 in the Eastern Conference of the NBA playoffs.In the Western Conference, the Memphis Grizzlies came back from a 16-point deficit to a 101-93 over-time victory over Oklahoma City.The Heat still lead the Eastern Conference best-of-seven second round series over the defending East champions two games to one with game four on Monday in Boston and game five in Miami on Wednesday.
