BOJ May Refrain From Easing Even as Deflation Deepens: Video

Feb. 16 (Bloomberg) -- Bloomberg's Mike Firn reports on the outlook for the Bank of Japan monetary policy. BOJ will probably refrain from easing monetary policy further at a board meeting this week because the recovery remains intact even as deflation intensifies, economists said. Governor Masaaki Shirakawa and his colleagues will keep their lending program for banks and monthly purchases of government bonds unchanged, according to 14 of 16 economists surveyed by Bloomberg News. Bloomberg's Haslinda Amin also speaks. (Source: Bloomberg)
