US President Barack Obama called Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah on Sunday to congratulate him on the "progress" while recovering from last month's back surgery in the United States, the White House said.Obama called King Abdullah "to wish him well, and to congratulate him on the progress that he has made toward a full recovery," the White House said in a statement from Hawaii, where the president is on holiday.
