    AUDIO: Sir Martin Sorrell defends pay deal

    WPP shareholders have voted against the company's executive pay report, which includes a £6.8m deal for chief executive Sir Martin Sorrell, by a majority of 59.5%. Speaking to the BBC in October 2011 Sir Martin defended the level of his remuneration.

      Sir Martin Sorrell, chief executive of global advertising group WPP, said the amount of corporation tax companies pay is "a question of judgement". Sir Martin suggested that coffee chain Starbucks chose to pay a £20m royalty to the UK taxman because "doing good is good business".
