    Asian markets fell in early trading Wednesday and the euro slipped as failed coalition talks in Greece stoked fresh concerns about the fragility of Europe's monetary union. Japan's Nikkei fell 1.3%.

      Asian markets plopped lower in early trade Friday, after shares fell in the U.S. on disappointing economic reports. Japan's benchmark Nikkei 225 stock average was down 1.4 percent at 9231.03, while the South Korean Kospi was off 0.53 percent at 1770.22.
