Apple switches friends again

So many articles have been written recently about Apple — defending it or explaining why this glorious fruit will turn into a shriveling pumpkin by midnight (with Samsung’s help) — that I really haven’t felt the need to contribute to the unending debate. But then Apple’s stock crashed to $450 last month, and we bought a little for our clients.

By James Kwak Whenever someone criticizes “Wall Street,” someone else tries to defend Wall Street by saying that without it we wouldn’t have Silicon Valley and all of its wonders. Most recently, A.S. at Free Exchange says this:

Business trips to Silicon Valley rarely include downtime for a day trip or long weekend, but if they do, most visitors head straight to San Francisco or Napa Valley.   But sticking with the familiar means missing out on what’s literally right over the hill. The company’s shares fell about 10pc in extended trading on Wall Street on Wednesday night after Apple’s latest quarterly revenue missed expectations, profit growth stalled and its forecast for the current quarter also fell short of forecasts, reports The Telegraph.
