    Another Misconception About A Sirius Acquisition By Liberty Media

    Last month I wrote an article about some of the rumors surrounding SiriusXM, how these rumors seemed to take on a life of their own and how they seemed to become "facts." Most of the time these rumors begin as opinions, but they are stated so emphatically that they become misconstrued as facts. At other times they begin as a writer's "What if..." type of speculation and over time the "speculation" aspect gets lost.

    The issues addressed in the previous article dealt with the 40% equity stake that Liberty Media (LCAPA) has in Sirius (SIRI) and what John Malone's company can do with that stake or what he has done in similar situations in the past. This article will address another of the opinions regarding the potential takeover of Sirius by Liberty that has appeared multiple times on Seeking Alpha. This particular comment appeared during the past week:
